I wanted to do a review for a monthly subscription, Kai Krates, that I have been getting for over a year. Awhile ago, I first subscribed to BarkBox, followed by PetGiftBox for Harlee after moving to Arizona. Due to some customer service issues at the time, I decided to stop spending the money.
A few months later, I came across a newer subscription company that was much more affordable! I subscribed to Kai Krates and have been receiving monthly deliveries ever since! Kai Krates will send you 4-6 toys and treats for your dog. You can specify the size of your dog to help individualize your box. After that, you select between treats and chews only, or add in toys as well. They have various subscription plans as well:
Month to Month for $24.99
3 Month commitment for $67.50 ($22.50/month)
6 Month commitment for $119.93 ($19.99/month)
One of the things that I love the most about Kai Krates is their customer service. They have been absolutely amazing. I have moved more than once since my subscription started and they adapt very well to getting my subscription address updated and making sure I receive it.
Kai Krates Monthly Review
Here are some pictures of Harlee opening his Kai Krate this month and a quick review of what he received!
Can I please open it already?
Wow – all for me?
Harlee received 2 toys and 2 treats this month. He was a little fearful of the green toy because it had plastic inside that makes noise when he bites it. He prefers the little purple toy in the middle picture, and it’s a great toy because it it is stuffing free (cleaner house)!
Here’s a display of all the items in this month’s box for Harlee:
- Exclusively Pet Harvest Blends Oatmeal N Blueberry Flavored Treats, 7-Ounce: These smelled great (fruity) and they are made without wheat/corn/soy. He really enjoyed these treats and they’re a perfect size for him to get a little dessert without too many calories. These come in other flavors such as Sweet Potato and Peanut Butter N Banana. (About $8)
- Red Barn Chew-A-Bulls: I save bigger treats for treks, so Harlee got to enjoy this on our winter camping trip. It kept him busy for about 15-20 minutes which was a great distraction from the cold and some calories to burn and get him warmed up. (About $6)
- ZippyPaws stuffing free dolphin: This toy is stuffed with a water bottle that most dogs enjoy hearing crunched. It is made with a velcro opening for replacing the water bottle. Harlee didn’t love it but played with it a little bit. Sometimes he decides to return to toys after awhile, so we’ll see if he does with this one. (About $7)
- Dawgeee toy purple rabbit: Harlee chose this toy to play with for quite awhile. It’s small and easy to carry around and it’s pretty durable unless your dog’s priority is to destroy toys. (About $11)
If you want to compare the value, Harlee received about $32 worth of toys and treats for a maximum of $25 (month to month subscription). Even if your dog decides he doesn’t like one of the toys or treats, it gives you an opportunity to try new brands and toys. And, if your dog is like Harlee, it lights up their face when they know a package came for them!
