Spending Money on Clothes
I know, I know, sometime’s there are really great investment pieces. Sometimes it’s totally worth picking up a pair of Frye boots because with that quality and timeless style, they’ll be a part of your wardrobe for a long time. I know some of you really love purses, so maybe it’s totally worth it to spend hundreds on a nice purse if it makes you feel pretty! But…I usually shop more towards the budget side. Why? Because styles change so quickly! And, sometimes I just change my mind about something and decide I don’t like it. Maybe it’s not as comfortable as I had hoped. Maybe my weight shifts. Whatever it is, I prefer to spend less on most of my clothing items.
Under $50- pants
These pants are great options for the office! My favorite thing to wear to work is simple black slacks. They’re easy to dress up with a button-up or blouse and look professional. The other pants are a bit more unique, made in Italy and they are under $50 because they’re on sale!
Under $50- dresses
A shift dress like the black one below is super easy for summer wear. They can be paired with sneakers, sandals, espadrilles…whatever you wish for a different style. The dress comes in so many different colors too! There are a couple other options including a one shoulder floral dress, great for spring!
Under $50- shirts
I love all of these shirts! Ruffles aren’t my top choice but I really love the ones on the shirt below because they’re more subtle. I think the “athleisure” shirt is really fun and easy to throw on over a sports bra on the weekend running errands. Loving the front tie on this striped shirt…
Under $50- shoes
I almost always buy budget-friendly shoes because they wear down quickly! Especially now that I am in NYC, I do a lot of walking. I am really loving the mules as an easy style to wear; just slip them on and head out the door. The faux-leather open toed mules are really budget-friendly!
