Are you interested in fitness? Maybe you are just looking for a way to add some protein to your diet? Either way, I have a recommendation based on my experience. When I’m working out actively, I need to get my calories and protein in so that my muscles repair and I can build strength.
You may already be having protein shakes…but what do you mix your protein powder with? Now, if you haven’t tried mixing with egg whites, please don’t freak out. I promise it’s not gross if you are worried about that. My husband started using egg whites to mix with his protein powder and I thought it was gross so I refused to do it. For nearly a year. Then, I was sick of how my protein powder wouldn’t blend very well mixing with milk or water an I decided to give it a try. When I mixed egg whites and protein powder, my protein shake was smooth, creamy, and delicious!
I came across this amazing company when I was trying to find a way to save money buying egg whites. It got tiring always going to buy the small cartons of egg whites from the grocery store and they are fairly expensive. I came across Egg Whites International and finally decided to give them a go. They offer different sizes such as a single gallon, multiple half gallons, or multiple gallons. The deal I went for was usually the 4 gallons, which can be frozen until use. They last a long time in the fridge, but that’s not problem if you’re using them to make protein shakes on a regular basis.
The protein powder I used depended on my diet at the time. I would say for most people you want to have casein and whey so you have an option for a before-workout and a post-workout depending on when you decide to time your workout and your meals (how to choose here). I had a different powder for the month we were following a Paleo diet as well. Here are some of my high protein choices for powders and bars.
