Do you love charcuterie?
I love a delicious charcuterie board for lunch. If you aren’t familiar with it, it’s a selection of prepared meats and cheeses, often served with various accompanying sauces/dips. It makes for a perfect lunch because it’s really light and isn’t filled with carbs to drag down the rest of your day.
My husband was so busy all last week, collaborating with a group to prepare a fantastic charcuterie buffet. They had been preparing all sorts of meats and sauces that would go with each of them. He spent a ton of time even last weekend researching recipes that would work for their buffet (using this book as seen above).
I was so proud of him! He even took charge of making sure the buffet line looked really nice. He created the chalkboard look making signs for each item! Take a look:
How beautiful is the plate above? The fresh lox in the shape of roses!
Cooking is like an art!
I mean… come on…bacon date rolls? Please give me some!
Okay so foie gras and head cheese aren’t my top choices but I know they’re a favorite for many!
What do you think about charcuterie? It’s a great to serve for a party, too. My husband was actually creating each of these, including the sausages from scratch. However, you can purchase many of these items in a store and slice them into small portions. Lay them out on a tray and bring them out at your next party – it goes well with wine! Below are some great options for charcuterie boards!
